Quick answer
Where can I rent an AMD EPYC 9004 or 9005 dedicated server?
You can rent an AMD EPYC 9004 dedicated server from Lumenfer, crypto only and no KYC. The AMD EPYC 9254 with 256 GB DDR5 ECC costs $356.25 per 30 days; the AMD EPYC 9354 with 384 GB DDR5 ECC, $749.67. Lumenfer has no EPYC 9005 (Turin); on 30 October 2026, Cherry Servers, KoDDoS and Anubiz Host rented Turin for crypto.

What changed from EPYC 9004 to 9005?
Turin keeps the socket and the channel count and raises everything around them. Where each family fits among other CPUs is in the best CPU for a rented dedicated server. At equal core counts, the 9005 part runs higher clocks and much faster memory at the same TDP.
| Model | Series | Cores | Base / boost | L3 | TDP | Memory | Bandwidth per socket | 1kU price |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| EPYC 9254 | 9004 | 24 | 2.9 / 4.15 GHz | 128 MB | 200 W | DDR5-4800 | 460.8 GB/s | $2,299 |
| EPYC 9255 | 9005 | 24 | 3.2 / 4.3 GHz | 128 MB | 200 W | DDR5-6400 | 614 GB/s | $2,495 |
| EPYC 9354 | 9004 | 32 | 3.25 / 3.8 GHz | 256 MB | 280 W | DDR5-4800 | 460.8 GB/s | $3,420 |
| EPYC 9355 | 9005 | 32 | 3.55 / 4.4 GHz | 256 MB | 280 W | DDR5-6400 | 614 GB/s | $3,694 |
| EPYC 9375F | 9005 | 32 | 3.8 / 4.8 GHz | 256 MB | 320 W | DDR5-6400 | 614 GB/s | $4,753 |
| EPYC 9654 | 9004 | 96 | 2.4 / 3.7 GHz | 384 MB | 360 W | DDR5-4800 | 460.8 GB/s | $8,452 |
| EPYC 9575F | 9005 | 64 | 3.3 / 5.0 GHz | 256 MB | 400 W | DDR5-6400 | 614 GB/s | $9,238 |
| EPYC 9965 | 9005 | 192 | 2.25 / 3.7 GHz | 384 MB | 500 W | DDR5-6400 | 614 GB/s | $11,988 |
Same 32 cores and 280 W: the EPYC 9355 adds 0.6 GHz of boost and a third more bandwidth, for an 8% higher list price. 614 GB/s against 460.8 GB/s is a 33% gain, which bandwidth-bound work such as analytics and CPU inference feels first.
How much faster is Turin in independent tests?
Phoronix's launch review of 10 October 2024 ran more than 140 benchmarks on AMD's Volcano reference server with DDR5-6000. The 128-core EPYC 9755 reached 1.55 times the 96-core EPYC 9654 of the Genoa line.
Across those tests the 64-core 9575F averaged 313 W of CPU power with a 403 W peak, and the 192-core 9965 averaged 275 W.
Those are flagship numbers; Intel's side of the same tests is in whether Xeon 6 servers are worth renting. The sources we read do not test mid-range pairs such as 9354 and 9355 head to head. Compare clocks and memory speed, then measure.
Which EPYC 9004 and 9005 servers can you rent with crypto?
Fourteen hosts in the survey listed SP5 EPYC servers; the table keeps the most useful lines. Cherry Servers had the widest choice of both generations, KoDDoS the cheapest large-memory boxes.

Monthly billing, list prices of 30 October 2026, EUR amounts at 1 EUR = 1.1172 USD (ECB, 30 October 2026). Hetzner's setup fee is spread over 12 months. MonoVM, 1Gbits and Bacloud route some crypto payments through Cryptomus/Heleket, under UK sanctions since 8 October 2026. AliasVPS advertises a dual EPYC 9474F at $299.50, a price no other surveyed host comes near; with delivery unverified, it is not counted here.
Is EPYC 9004 still worth renting in 2026?
Yes, when the price gap is wider than the speed gap. Cherry Servers charges 12% more for the 9255 than for the 9254P, and 9% more for the 9355 than for the 9354P. Turin's memory runs 33% faster at those core counts.
Genoa is worth renting in 2026 when you need memory capacity more than memory speed. Lumenfer's check of 30 October 2026 found 7 hosts with a current-generation server at least as large as Lumen 24. Their median price was $999.57; Lumen 24 costs $356.25, 64% below that median.
The cheapest of them was KoDDoS at $475.00 for AMD EPYC 9354, 32 cores / 384 GB / 3.84TB NVMe. For Lumen 32, the cheapest match was MonoVM at $999.57. Both plans and their terms are on how much a Lumenfer bare-metal server costs.
Which EPYC model fits which job?
Match the model letter and core count to the work:
- F parts (9375F, 9575F) trade cores for clock, up to 5.0 GHz. They suit per-core software licences, game backends and latency-bound databases.
- Mid-range parts (9254, 9354, 9255, 9355) balance cores and clocks. They suit Proxmox, Kubernetes nodes and PostgreSQL; see building a Proxmox cluster on rented servers.
- Dense parts (9965) put 192 cores in one socket for throughput, build farms and many small tenants.
Analytics engines lean on bandwidth more than clock; ClickHouse hardware on bare metal covers that case.
What should you check before renting an EPYC server?
Five things the price line hides:
- DIMM count. AMD's per-socket bandwidth assumes all 12 channels in use; fewer DIMMs leave channels empty. Ask how the memory is fitted.
- One socket or two. A dual-socket box doubles cores and channels, and adds a second memory domain to schedule.
- Port and traffic. Lumenfer plans run at 1 Gbit/s; several hosts above sell 10 Gbit/s.
- Setup time. Up to 72 hours from the moment your payment is confirmed; Cherry Servers quotes 12 minutes on average for pre-configured servers.
- ID and payment. No KYC: we never ask for an ID, a selfie, documents, a card or a phone number. Several hosts above can ask for ID on triggers.
Renting EPYC 9004 and 9005: FAQ
Does Lumenfer rent EPYC 9005 (Turin) servers?
No. Lumenfer's two SP5 plans run EPYC 9004: AMD EPYC 9254 and AMD EPYC 9354. For Turin with crypto, the 30 October survey found Cherry Servers, KoDDoS and Anubiz Host.
Is the memory on Lumenfer's EPYC plans ECC?
Yes. Lumen 24 lists 256 GB DDR5 ECC and Lumen 32 lists 384 GB DDR5 ECC. AMD lists ECC for the whole EPYC 9004 series.
Do EPYC servers support AVX-512?
Yes, both generations. AMD's selection guide gives EPYC 9004 a 2 × 256-bit data path and EPYC 9005 a full 512-bit one. That helps vector-heavy code such as inference and simulation.
Is an EPYC 9354 a good Proxmox host?
Yes for a mid-size cluster node: 32 cores, 64 threads and 12 memory channels, per AMD. Lumen 32 pairs it with 384 GB DDR5 ECC. Its install images include Proxmox VE: Debian 13, Debian 12, Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, AlmaLinux 10, Rocky Linux 10 and Proxmox VE 9.
How fast can I get an EPYC server from Lumenfer?
Up to 72 hours from the moment your payment is confirmed. A person prepares the machine after your payment is confirmed; the dashboard shows the IP address when it is ready.
